Crazy Heart

She stood with her back against the wind, arms raised slightly above her waist, as she let the breeze escape through the spaces between her fingers. With a deep and purposeful sigh, she drew in all that God had displayed before her. "This is Love," she whispered quietly to herself, but verbally because she knew He was listening. The slightest crinkle of a smile meandered across her sun-kissed faced, rested momentarily in the creases of her dimples, and disappeared as slowly as it had traveled. She could smell the stillness, and it was the smell of comfort; of Eden.

"I love you too," she whispered quietly again to herself, but verbally because she knew He was listening.
